Nasi Goreng Kampung Kemangi
Is by far the most favorite menu in Kemangi Bistro.. The taste is rich and authentic, different than cheap nasi goreng that you find in a small warung.

Fruit for breakfast
You can see from my previous blog that I've been eating lots of delicious cooking..
I feel a need to balance my diet with some healthy natural food like fruit and juice. I had watermelon juice today.
Dragon fruit is my favorite because of its name! I like it better than snake fruit.. :)
Mie Ayam Jamur Pak Brewok
I will definitely come here again.. The mie ayam was uueenak, lots of jamur and ayam, you will want to finish all the kuahnya.. All only for rp 7,500! Oh no, plus teh panas rp 1,500!
Nasi goreng ayam rp 7,500, cap cay rp 6,000, udang goreng mentega rp 13,000

Telor orak arik Kapulaga..
I miss home cooking food.. this telor reminds me of simple homey cooking..

When the food cost is getting higher, the restaurant has few options;
- increase the selling price to cover the cost increase;
- reduce the standard portion
- change/reduce the quality
- reduce other overhead expenses
Which options that you would take?
Tongseng Kambing Sor Talok
Then in one of small road that still has rice paddies, I saw a Mercy and two cars in front of a small warung. That must be Mbah Mo. I was really hoping, but it was not. It is a Warung Tongseng Kambing Sor Talok.
Those guys who drove Mercy knows where to find good food.. This Tongseng is original, huge portion, the meat was tender and the curry is so delicious. Considering the real lamb that they used, I thought at the minimum this will cost me rp 25,000..
Price was only rp 15,000, including a big bowl of rice and salad. Hot tea was Rp 1,000.
They do not have bottled water or soft drink, which I think they really should..

If you own this restaurant
Would you like to see few people but paying a high price, or see crowded restaurant and all guests are happy because they get their value for money. (I should say they feel like they get good value for their money.)
